3022 Washington Street: Firehouse Turned Home

LOCATION: Pacific Heights
PRICE: Not currently on the market
3022 Washington Street is one (of two) posts focusing on Victorian style firehouses turned homes (I say "style" since both listings seem to be without dates so I don't know what "era" they were "born" in).

3022 Washington isn't currently for sale, but it was given quite a bit of publicity a few years back when owner, (ahem :: the very wealthy former spouse of Danielle Steel) John Traina, had it on the market for $4 million. The 3 bedroom 4.5 bath was probably most noticed for its brilliant white exterior (loved it!) as well as Traina's interesting interior decorating (think african safari meets art deco). I wish there were so more pictures of 3022 Washington circling the internet - they were quite the visual treat!

The sole interior shot I was able to recover from Traina's days at 3022:

*Sidenote: Apparently the well-known former SF Mayor, Willie Brown, resided in 3022 Washington during the 1990's.
